Dr. Melissa Bennett, ND is a naturopathic doctor with nearly two decades of experience in restorative and functional healthcare. She completed advanced studies in Predictive Health at Emory University, focusing on how genetics, lifestyle factors, and early biomarkers influence long-term wellness and disease prevention. This training enables her to integrate evidence-based science with holistic strategies that address root causes and support sustainable health restoration.
Dr. Bennett currently serves on two scientific advisory boards, contributing to research, product development, and health education. She also leads monthly national health education calls, where she shares practical, lifestyle-based strategies and evidence-informed insights for improving health outcomes. These roles keep her closely connected to advances in integrative and functional medicine.
Her expertise has been featured on national media platforms, including an appearance on the A&E Channel’s The Unexplained, where she assisted in resolving a complex medical case, and an interview with CBS discussing the Blood Type Diet. She is recognized for her ability to translate complex medical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
Dr. Bennett’s clinical approach is deeply informed by her personal experience as a long-term breast cancer survivor who participated in the Herceptin clinical trial and underwent chemotherapy and radiation. This journey provides her with a unique understanding of chronic illness, recovery, and resilience, and reinforces her commitment to compassionate, individualized care.
Dr. Bennett is the founder of The Olive Leaf, a restorative healthcare practice serving patients throughout Georgia. Through structured health restoration programs, she helps patients regain energy, metabolic balance, neurological resilience, and overall vitality. These programs support individuals navigating a range of health challenges, including diabetes and metabolic dysfunction, cancer recovery, weight regulation, fertility optimization, brain and nervous system health, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
Her work is collaborative by design. Dr. Bennett co-manages patients alongside their existing healthcare providers, including medical doctors, oncologists, psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and pediatricians. Her care is intended to complement—not replace—conventional medical treatment, enhancing outcomes through lifestyle modification, targeted nutrition, functional testing, and restorative therapies.
Dr. Bennett defines success in healthcare not simply as symptom reduction, but as helping individuals rebuild resilience, clarity, and quality of life through personalized, whole-person care.
